When I was last looking for a job, I was drawn to Simpson Strong-Tie because I was seeking career growth, and my last company didn’t have room for advancement. Although I did not have any HR experience, I decided to take a chance and apply for the role. Fortunately, Simpson Strong-Tie took a chance on me and hired me. Throughout my five years here, I have come to understand what people meant by the company’s great culture — I found a company founded on genuine, people-centered values, which foster a supportive work environment where employees feel valued, respected, and encouraged to learn and grow. I have built amazing relationships with my colleagues and leaders, which make me feel like I’m part of a family rather than just a team.

One of the main reasons why I love my job so much, whether it’s been as an HR Admin, an HR Coordinator, or now an Executive Assistant, is because I have the opportunity to support people in the company. It’s fulfilling to know that I play a small but respected role in contributing to the success of the company.
