Outdoor Accents ® Barn Door
Lakeside Slabs is a family-owned company based in Plumas County, serving Northern California. They specialize in building custom wood slabs and furniture for homes and cabins. One of their recent projects involved building a barn door for a client that featured our Outdoor Accents decorative hardware. The lumber used for the door was milled by the owner and his father using a portable mill. The wood is ponderosa pine, and the bluing of the wood is a natural process that occurs when pine trees die and sit around without being cut up. The owner and his father have always used Simpson Strong-Tie products for their day-to-day projects. Several years ago, their local lumberyard started stocking our decorative line of straps, bolts and screws. Now, they have been using Outdoor Accents decorative hardware for several years and incorporate them into most of their woodworking pieces.
