This week’s DIY wine rack project is in collaboration with Jamison Rantz from Rogue Engineer.
As a parent, I understand the need to indulge in food and drink after the kids have gone to bed (I have a hidden stash of good Swiss chocolate). So when Jamison Rantz from Rogue Engineer pitched us the idea of a DIY wine rack, I knew it would be a DIY project that would resonate with a lot of parents!
This DIY wine rack can hold up to five bottles of wine, and even has storage for wine glasses. That should be enough for a few nights of Netflix binge sessions. It’s a convenient project that you can mount on any wall to create instant storage. Mounting your DIY wine rack also means less chance of any little hands getting their fingers on all those bottles and glasses.
Jamison used Simpson Strong-Tie® LS50Z adjustable angle brackets to create a DIY wine rack that’s both durable and stylish. For the finish, he used Rust-Oleum®Varathane® Wood Stain in Briarsmoke to give it a vintage look. The finish reminds me of wine barrels that.
In the meantime, I have to figure out a better hiding spot for my candy because my husband always finds my stash and eats it. Maybe a DIY storage project is in the works that’s kid- and husband-proof!
