Making a Difference One Month at a Time: Stockton Branch 2025 Give Back Events

At Simpson Strong-Tie, giving back is more than a seasonal initiative. It’s part of who we are. Throughout 2025, the Stockton branch came together month after month to support our communities through hands-on service, donations and meaningful partnerships. From disaster relief and hunger support to education, housing and holiday giving, our employees showed up with heart, teamwork and purpose. Here’s a look at how our Stockton team made an impact throughout the year.

January: Supporting First Responders and Fighting Hunger

LA Wildfires Firefighter Care Packages – January 16

In January, Simpson Strong-Tie employees came together to support the brave firefighters responding to the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. Understanding the challenges faced by these heroes, we assembled 220 care packages filled with requested items to support recently deployed strike teams. Additionally, we donated essential supplies, including work gloves, N95 masks and hand sanitizer, to aid in the critical cleanup efforts that follow.

This initiative was a true team effort, with our Stockton and Riverside branches collaborating seamlessly. After Stockton employees worked diligently to gather the items and prepare the packages, the supplies were sent to Riverside, where the team delivered the pallets to the LAFD Foundation for distribution to fire crews on the ground. It was an honor to support firefighters whose courage protects lives and communities every day.

Teams filled bags with carefully measured ingredients, weighed each package for accuracy, sealed them, and boxed them for delivery.

Through the combined efforts of both shifts, we successfully packaged 36,504 meals. These meals were picked up by Convoy of Hope and delivered to Los Angeles to support victims of the recent wildfires. Together, we demonstrated the power of collective action to help those facing difficult times.

We also partnered with Lincoln High School’s Construction and Engineering program, where students built six additional benches. Thanks to a generous lumber donation from Golden State Lumber, a total of 15 benches were donated to six schools, along with 70 ladybug habitat boxes. This effort strengthened community partnerships while providing students with practical skills and lasting resources for local schools.

May: Bikes, Blood, and Big Impact

Big Bike Build – May 13

Simpson Strong-Tie hosted its second annual Big Bike Build, bringing together employees from Stockton and three regional warehouses in Kent, Washington; Denver, Colorado; and Salt Lake City, Utah. Teams worked across four sessions to assemble bicycles, each paired with a helmet and a pump to ensure safety and long-term usability.

This year, we increased our impact by assembling 360 bicycles. Of those, 306 were built in Stockton and 18 at each warehouse. All bikes were donated to local schools and nonprofit organizations serving children in low-income households. For many kids, receiving a bike meant more than transportation. It symbolized freedom, opportunity and joy.

A Year of Impact

Throughout 2025, Simpson Strong-Tie’s Stockton branch demonstrated what’s possible when people come together with purpose. Every hour volunteered, every donation made and every partnership formed helped strengthen our communities and reflected our commitment to giving back, one month at a time. It’s a core value rooted in Barc Simpson’s Nine Principles of Business. Principle No. 8, Give Back, reminds us that we have a responsibility to strengthen the communities where we live and work and sell our products.
