Cut Back Rest Supports and InstallSo… do you want to get ready for summer and make yourself some awesome lounge chairs? After building a floating deck in my backyard, I made it better by adding these pool loungers. This is the perfect chair for getting some sunshine and enjoying the pool. Even better, this is an easy beginner DIY project that can be completed in one day.
All you need is a saw, a drill, and Simpson Strong-Tie Deck-Drive Wood screws. I love using these Simpson Strong-Tie screws for all my outdoor projects. They come with a Quik Guard® coating for corrosion resistance. The coating enhances the longevity of the screws in the outdoor elements and makes them safe to use with pressure-treated lumber. Plus, predrilling isn’t necessary! I would also recommend using a few EZ-Hold clamps for the assembly of the chairs too.
Here is an easy breakdown of the steps I took for building pool lounge chairs. You can also watch the full video below where I walk viewers through all the steps of the pool lounger project. Additionally, you can get the project plan, dimensions, cut list, shopping list, tool list and step-by-step instructions with 2D diagrams here.
