At Simpson Strong-Tie, giving back to the communities we serve is a crucial part of our company culture. We’re all connected in some way and part of a greater community. It’s essential to make what impact you can — you may not have the financial means that others might have, but whatever you can do really matters. Associate Inside Sales Representative Missy Joseph is a shining example of our company value #8, “Give Back,” which encourages employees to volunteer and give back to their community in whatever ways they can.

Erin Nichols is a proud member of the sales team here at Simpson Strong-Tie. She shares the story of how her career journey unfolded and how she encourages other women in sales to follow this career path, too.
I am a new Dealer Sales Representative, Residential, in the Central Florida market. I previously worked selling building materials, mostly masonry products, and it was there I learned about Simpson Strong-Tie products when I began selling connectors to some of my customers. Prior to that I was selling commercial landscape products. I’ve had some wonderful experiences and am happy that they’ve led me where I am today. I’m a single mom of twin boys who keep me on my toes. I enjoy time with my family and friends, exercising and being outside — especially beach time with my paddleboard.
At Simpson Strong-Tie we’re proud to be known for our relentless customer focus. In fact, it’s literally one of our nine company values. We want to introduce you to some of the men and women who live that value daily. Today we’re taking you to our McKinney, Texas branch to meet members of our Inside Sales team who oversee customer service. We’re happy to share their stories on what “Relentless Customer Service” means and their individual journeys at Simpson Strong-Tie.
One of our nine company values is Relentless Customer Focus. What do they need from you? How can you improve their lives?” Matt Anderson, our Inside Sales Manager at our McKinney, Texas branch, has been living that value for nearly 20 years. We asked Matt to share his career journey with Simpson Strong-Tie and explain what “relentless customer focus” means to him. Continue reading “What Does Relentless Customer Focus Mean? I started with Simpson in March 2020 as the Human Resources Coordinator, and I’m still in that position. Eventually, I look to expand my HR career here as I develop myself and those around me. Last week, I was honored to attend the annual Simpson Strong-Tie International Sales Meeting (ISM) in San Antonio, Texas. Although I’m not in Sales, I received the ECSS (Excellence in Customer Service Support) award for the first half of 2021 at my branch here in Columbus, so I was invited to attend.
Over the 2020 Christmas holiday, sales merchandiser Karl Warnett kept himself busy by fitting out his van with shelving and drawers for all his marketing needs.
Last Christmas I decided to kit out and build drawers and shelves in the back of my Volkswagen Caddy van as I was fed up with the untidy way my van was looking. I didn’t want my mobile “office” to appear unprofessional to customers and end users when I was visiting their premises. Continue reading “The Simpson Strong-Tie UK Van”
