Announcing: Give It Your Best Shot 2019! Simpson Strong-Tie® Outdoor Accents® Photo Contest

Simpson Strong-Tie’s “Give It Your Best Shot” photo contest is returning for the summer of 2019. Last year, we received dozens of beautiful shots of pergolas that were built using our Outdoor Accents connectors and fasteners. It was tough to choose a winner, but eventually we settled on Chris Lewis from Chula Vista, California.

This year, we’re changing things up to inspire even more builders and reward more winners! We know not everyone has the yard space or the need for a pergola, so we’re giving the contest two separate competitive tiers.

Tier One: Large Projects

If you’re using Simpson Strong-Tie Outdoor Accents hardware to create a large backyard project, we want to see the process. As you’re building your project, post photos to an Instagram account with the hashtag #strongtiediy. Once you’ve completed your project, submit a photo (before September 2) that clearly shows off both your project and its use of one or more Simpson Strong-Tie Outdoor Accents products. Large projects can include decks, pergolas, sheds, gazebos, arbors and patio covers.

We’ll have one Tier One winner, who will receive a 47″ H x 52″ W x 30″ D Kamado grill with smoker.

Tier Two: Small Projects

Maybe this is a summer of smaller-scale projects? We have you covered, as well. Same basic rules as above. As you’re building your small backyard project, take photos, post to Instagram with the hashtag #strongtiediy and submit a photo of the completed project in the form below. Of course, make sure your project’s use of one or more Simpson Strong-Tie Outdoor Accents products is clearly visible in the finished project photo. Small projects can include deck chairs, outdoor bars, and patio furniture.

We’ll have one Tier Two winner, who will receive a Vision Grills Kamado Cadet.

We’ll also select one random winner to receive a YETI Roadie® cooler.

How to Enter (Please Read)

Take a photo that clearly shows your project and the use of at least one Simpson Strong-Tie® Outdoor Accents® product.
Change the file name of your photo to include the project, your last name and whether or not you’re submitting for the large or small tier. Examples: jpg or deckchair_LASTNAME_small.jpg.
Submit through the form at this link.

This contest will run through September 2, 2019, and we’ll take up to 30 days to judge the winners. Finalists will be asked for additional photos of their projects to help us determine the winner from each tier. Winners will be announced in mid-October and might be asked to appear in a finalist video.
